Pemilihan bupati dan wakil bupati baru untuk kabupaten pringsewu lampung sebentar lagi akan di gelar, tepatnya hari Rabu, tanggal 28 september 2011. Sepertinya ini adalah hajat besar bagi kabupaten pringsewu yang notabene baru pertama menyelenggarakan pemilihan calon bupati dan wakil bupati setelah pemekaran wilayah yang semula masuk dalam kabupaten Tanggamus.
Semoga saja dalam pelaksanaannya berlangsung aman, jujur dan rahasia. Tidak ada halangan suatu apapun. Harapannya semoga Kabupaten Pringsewu kedepannya menjadi lebih baik, kesejatheraan masyarakat juga menjadi meningkat di tangan pemimpin-pemimpin yang adil dan amanah.
Animo masyarakat diharapkan tinggi dalam partisipasi penyelenggaraan Pilkada Pringsewu, dan menggunakan hak suaranya dalam Pilkada Kabupaten Pringsewu 2011, karena hak suara kita dapat menentukan masa depan kabupaten pringsewu.

Penghargaan serupa juga diberikan kepada Kepala Badan Koordinasi Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN) Pusat Dr.Sugiri Syarif MPA, serta ketiga bupati yang menjadi dalang dan sinden dalam pagelaran acara tersebut, yakni Bupati Wonogiri H.Begug Poernomosidi, Bupati Sragen H.Untung Wiyono, serta Bupati Karanganyar Hj.Rina Iriani Ratnaningsih.

Kolaborasi Seni Budaya KB Nusantara yang diikuti sebanyak 33 provinsi seluruh Indonesia dan Pagelaran Wayang Kulit Spektakuler dengan 3 dalang bupati yang masih aktif ini, merupakan yang pertama kali terjadi di Indonesia bahkan di dunia.

Dari hasil perlombaan Seni Budaya KB Nusantara yang digelar mulai tanggal 1 Oktober lalu, berhasil terpilih 6 provinsi yang menjadi pemenang, yaitu masing-masing untuk Juara Umum (juara 1) diraih kontingen Provinsi Jawa Barat, Juara ke-2 Provinsi DI Yogyakarta, serta Juara 3 diraih Provinsi Bali.
